Autofrettage High Pressure Vessels
Diuretics, or water pills, are medications used to reduce the amount of water in the body. Doctors prescribe diuretics primarily for patients with a history of high blood pressure or hypertension.
Most water in the body is contained either inside the cells, in the area surrounding the cells (the extra-cellular space) or within the blood vessels. Excess water in the extra-cellular space causes swelling and excess water in the blood vessels can lead to high blood pressure. Diuretics are used to treat these conditions.
